In this exhibition, we are joining under the tagline of “Nomadic by Nature". Also, the team from Mongolia has prepared three perimeters of the exhibition in the shape of a Mongol ger, showcasing the tradition, history and culture through national music, dance and folk traditions. Additionally, there is going to be a reception event with Mongolian cuisine, meaning we are ready to promote our country from all sides.
As of last year, the “ITB Berlin" exhibition received over 10,000 businesses from 180 countries and 170,000 tourists.
This year's exhibition will heavily feature the pitches and advices from our tourism companies, and it will potentially become a major source of tourism in Mongolia.
The fact that the President of Mongolia will make an opening speech at the “ITB Berlin" exhibition should make the attention from our government to this event evident enough.
Furthermore, a four-seasoned country like us should make distinct emphasis on our winter tourism. International hotel chains in Mongolia have lowered their rate to half from November to May to cater to tourists coming in for winter tour.
The mayor's office of Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, has recently approved the “Amiable Ulaanbaatar" program. As part of this program, all service sectors are to adopt friendly attitude and to boost city's image of cordiality. The mayor's office is committing 5% of city budget for this program each year.
