Trip of a lifetime!
I just got back from the Camel Trekking in the Gobi tour, Sept. 1-8, 2018. For those who would love to experience the Gobi as the Silk Road travelers did ... for those who would love to experience the nomads' way of life ... perhaps climb a sand dune or just gaze at the awesome scenery and sky ... this is the trip for you!
Our guide, Ebo, and driver, Tocho were wonderful, kind and helpful. Gana was a lovely guide for my city tour, and Jamaa a most skillful driver.
The folklore show in Ulaanbaatar was unforgettable, too. You must go!
Western Mongolia in Style!
We had a great time in Mongolia and were treated like royals by the staff of "Discover Mongolia". From the very beginning of our booking, communication with everybody was swift and accurate.
We made a day tour in Ulaanbaatar and our guide was super outspoken and knew a lot of her country and its long long history. We then took on the next day a plane to Khovd (or Hovd) in Western Mongolia and had a fantastic stay in the very modern and new Steppe Hotel.
Near Khovd we visited the amazing Lake Har Us. The best part of our trip was the one night in an authentic Ger in the Bodonch canyon.
Believe it or not, but in the evening we even saw two Altai Ibex!!!!! On the next day, we were driven on a new and perfect road to the Bulgan /Takashiken border, where our tour ended with Discover Mongolia and we entered China.
This was a very special private tour, which was professionally organized and the guides and drivers were exceptional. We fully can recommend Discover Mongolia for a memorable vacation in Western Mongolia.
Especially our guide in Western Mongolia, Mr. Ebo contributed a lot to our unforgettable experience in this lovely country.
Pure Gobi, Beautiful Mongolia - You would never regret to visit
Everything is amazing here. The tour I joined was 6-day in Gobi, where you can enjoy the natural Mongolia, Gobi desert, and grassland. We spent two days with Nomadic family to experience the local lifestyle, foods, Mongolian family happiness and Ger.
All the arrangements by Discover Mongolia was just fantastic - our tour guide Ebo (and the driver Tso) is a very knowledge/ professional guy. He could share not only the scene, but the local cultures, lifestyle things, and history of the country. Also, you don't have to worry about the logistics as most of the tourist camps would be great. You could even enjoy a glass of wine here.
Last but not least, please don't forget to save water when travelling in Gobi!
Mongolia is Epic!
I spent two weeks traveling around and filming Mongolia. I'm very glad I chose to enlist the help of Discover Mongolia travel - They are the warmest, lovely people ever! We were able to see so much of the beautiful country - Lake Khuvsgul, Horgo Volcano, Temples, Gobi Desert, Local Festivals, Eagle Valley, and soo many more.
Nothing was too much trouble and i'd highly recommend these guys if it's for a custom tour, or one of the many predefined tours that they offer. I can't thank them enough for helping me with my film. I look forward to coming back next year for another visit!
4 days in Mongolia
Had a 4 day private tour in Mongolia and Discover Mongolia took care of everything. I was picked up at the airport and taken care of the entire time. Stayed at a great hotel in Ulaanbatar, had a good few hour tour of the city and then headed on a 5 hour drive the next day to Karkakorum.
The driver and guide for the whole trip were fabulous. The guide spoke wonderful english and the driver was efficient and his car was clean and stocked with water at all times. The overnight in a Ger and camel ride on the sand dunes was fun. Saw so much in 4 days. Highligh recommend Discover Mongolia!
Eagle Festival
Discover Mongolia looked after us perfectly from our arrival right through to our departure, guides spoke brilliant english, drivers were fantastic and meals beautiful.
