Excellent Trip!
good service of the tour guide and driver.
fair accommodation but many insects inside the Ger(traditional Mongolian Camp).
good food(lamb barbecue and local food).
all tourist spot, no shopping time.
Recommended for foreign travelers like myself.
An excellent peek into Mongolia and its people for first timers
This is a very good tour for first timers to Mongolia and I highly recommend it. This tour is good for people who are in Mongolia for 7-8 days.
We had a wonderful 5 day personalized tour with Mr. Miigaa, our wonderful driver and the lovely Ms. Maya who speaks excellent English and is also a very good interpreter.
We did not have any problems at all right from day 1 till our return in UB on day 5. Everything from the Ger accommodations, the food, the activities was well arranged and the service standards are very high.
All of us had a good camaraderie right from the start and it was more of 4 travelers exploring together.
Thank you and we would love to use your services again in the future.
Mongolia, a gem to discover
We were a group of 4 from SG on a private 8D tour. From the date of my enquiry till trip completion, Dalai (from Sales Mgt Office) has exemplified quality customer service and prompt in replies (despite our late registration).
The trip itself was amazing, and Mongolia, I would put it amongst one of the TOP travel gems in Asia. Such beautiful landscapes, highly recommended for those who love nature, animals, fresh mountain air and not forgetting the vodka!
We had good guide (Ebo) and driver (Buuvei), who proved to be great company and humorous. Especially, the driver whom we suspect has an internal GPS, skillfully manoeuvring tricky roads to Ugii and Elsen Tasakhai! Did lots of great outdoorsy activities, and the team made sure we had warm meals and not too ‘exotic meats’ (especially for me who love animals).
The only snag was a hiccup at a ‘glam camp’ on 1N, but they made up for it. The other thing was our Camel rides, where we were brought to ‘a farm’. Due to a change in wet-warm condition, huge swarms of flies ‘attacked’ the camels and us — was not a pleasant experience!
Still overall, what can I say of the trip, but bellissima! Would consider returning to Mongolia in the northern part, and yes Discover Mongolia would be the go-to travel operator!
WOW!!! If Mongolia isn't on your bucket list, it should be!
My interest in Mongolia dates back to 2005, when a tour guide in China mentioned that, of the tours he led, Mongolia was by far his favorite. My husband and I signed up for the 8-day Taste of Mongolia tour, and it was AMAZING. The scenery, the wide-open spaces, the wildlife, the history, the culture, the people, our guide & driver...all WOW! Bonus points: unlike so many tours these days, Discover Mongolia tours really are all-inclusive. They don't nickel & dime you at every turn with "optional" extras. Do be aware (you'd think this doesn't need to be said): ger camps in Mongolia are surprisingly comfortable, and a very cool experience, but 4-star hotels they are not. Pack a proper sense of adventure and you will be rewarded many times over.
Highly recommended tour!!
My friend and I had a great experience with this awesome 6 days tour!
We stayed in Ger camps, saw lots of animals, visited nomad family, and learned history.
Our guide, Oka-san and driver, Togii, were so helpful to make the tour wonderful. Because Oka-san has a background of nomad, she taught us the detailed life style and culture of nomad. She also gave us lots of opportunities to join nomad life, such as milking cows and eating sheep internal organs!
It was so 'goy bainaa'!! Thanks a lot!!
