Just came back from these 2 tours with Marlaa and Nandin (driver). My group was just me and a other lady. Vehicle was a sturdy Japanese 4WD.

Was a fun trip and Marlaa was great taking care of us (I am quite a forgetful person) and answering all our questions. She took care to check where I was (alone) on my free day around UB.
Nandin was amazing, honestly I don't know how he found the way to the Monestory with no real roads or signs or anything at all. I felt extremely safe and had a wonderful time. This tour covered most of Central Mongolia but not the Gobi.

I went on the 16 day tour of Mongolia with local Naadam Festival and loved every minute! This company is well organized, something that’s evident when you visit their website and read their blogs. Marla was a lovely guide for our two bookend days in UB and Oyunaa was outstanding for all the rest. Knowledgeable and delightful, Oyunaa has a lovely sense of humor and playfulness, and an unmistakable passion for her country. She was responsive to our individual interests, facilitating a petroglyph hunt for Donna, archery opportunities for Bogdan, and additional nomad contact for me, and to unexpected challenges on the road. Our driver, Nyama, was also extraordinary. I still don’t understand how, without GPS, often without readily seen landmarks, and sometimes driving through rain and road ruts, this man got us safely, surely and with good humor to all of our destinations. The itinerary and activities were terrific. Even though we didn’t see the pageantry of opening Naadam Festival in UB, I was still happy with the decision to visit a local Naadam Festival in the middle of the country, since we were able to get within a couple of feet of most of the activities - awesome. By the end of the trip, I’d ridden on a horse, a Bactrian camel, and a yak, held a 7 kilo eagle on my arm, and been kissed by a baby reindeer. Who could ask for more?!? Kudos, Discover Mongolia! I enthusiastically recommend this company.

just returned from 14 days discover mongolia tour from the south to the north. fantastic trip, itinerary is well paced, not overly packed. From grassland, valley, sand dunes, mountains to lakes. Our tour guide Bold and driver Tulga was extremely helpful and accomodating, ensuring that we are well taken care of. All the tourist camp that we stayed in where clean with helpful staffs.

We are looking forward to going back to Mongolia next year to do the Gobi Dessert and Eagle Hunters!

I want to start by saying that this company and its tours offer incredible value for money. The accommodation, food, sights visited, everything was excellent. Mongolia is an incredible country and I could have easily extended this tour.
However, I am saying this with full knowledge that Mongolia has a patriarchal family structure and society, our tour guide seemed intent on letting me know this at every opportunity possible. I fully respect other cultures ways of life but this tour guide (who had lived in the US before) made very sure that I was aware that myself as the youngest female of the group had no status. He didn’t even learn my name after 4 days with a group of 5 of us. He let me know that I was beyond my prime and would never be able to marry in Mongolia. He also addressed all questions and information to the eldest male in the group without asking us how we felt. He also made sure that the eldest man was always sitting at the head of the table at dinner as he was the ‘leader’ of our family (we weren’t family). It was almost like I wasn’t there at times. When we were visiting sites that had female tour guides he interrupted them constantly and would pat them on the arm and say good girl.
Besides all of this he showed very little interest in any of us and never took the time to learn who we were or what our interests were.
Discover Mongolia was amazing. The driver and tour were awesome. I was just a bit let down to what the tour guide offered us.
